Smith Crafters is a one man craft studio located in Idaho and run by Anthony Smith. With over 7 years of experience crafting custom rings and wedding bands, along with various other hobbies and job empierces that all lend themselves to creating quality works of art. I take great pride in every little detail of my work, and I hope it shows when you choose to shop with Smith Crafters.

Smith Crafters started my Freshman year of high school. After taking woodshop class I found a special set of skills and a love for the lathe. Purchasing my own wood lathe for at home during spring break, I jumped at the opportunity to have a hobby and make things. Throughout high school I made and sold many pens. I made these pens using wood and acrylic and pen kits bought from a craft store. In my junior and senior year I also started making duck calls. Shortly after graduation I discovered casting resin. I made a few rings before, but I started using rings as a way to hone my skills with pouring the resin to get a good mix of colors. The original plan was to cast resin and then hybrid resin (wood burls with resin) blanks to make fancy duck calls with. That never really happened. I started posting photos of my rings online and soon found a small following and people asking me to make more and more and wilder rings. So that's the path I followed. At some point in 2017-2018 I went back to my roots a little bit and started making pens again. However this time I didn't purchase any kits online. I cast my own material. Cut my own threads, and designed my own pen from start to finish (minus the nib). I've made many other items in the past besides just pens and rings though. I've made a few tobacco pipes, guitar picks, pendants, medical bracelets, straight razor restorations, bowls, vases, bottle stoppers, shave brushes, end tables, a coffee table, Christmas tree ornaments, vape tips, ear gauges, seam rippers, a gaming desk, and probably more things that escape memory.
I enjoy building things. Besides that though I have more hobbies! I enjoy camping, hunting, riding motorcycles, backpacking occasionally, building vintage motorcycles, archery, and many more. I have a 3 year old border collie/Australian shepherd that enjoys being a shop dog. A motorcycle to keep me moving and busy. Tons of tools to keep my hands occupied. My greatest passion though is making others happy through my work. Whether its fixing someone's bike or making them a wedding ring they love. That's where my true joy comes from. My company goal is to create high-quality works of art. My wedding bands are designed to last you a lifetime, and our other options are designed and priced to be a visual masterpiece at an affordable price. |
